BIKE REVOLUTION takes a break in 2027 to rethink its future

After five successful years, the BIKE REVOLUTION event series will not hold any races in 2027. The organizers will use this time to analyse developments in the mountain bike market and reassess the future of the brand, including potential new event formats.

Since its launch in 2021, BIKE REVOLUTION has evolved far beyond a traditional race series on the Swiss mountain bike calendar. Together with host destinations, partners, clubs and athletes, the series has inspired more than 100,000 people to get active and embrace mountain biking over the past five years.

The series brought together international elite racing, youth development and recreational mountain biking, leaving a lasting impact on numerous host destinations across Switzerland. At the same time, the mountain bike landscape has undergone significant changes in recent years. The organizers see this as an opportunity to fundamentally reassess the existing concepts and the long-term direction of BIKE REVOLUTION.

“We look back on what we have achieved with great pride. Together with our partners, we have created events that have made a lasting impact on Swiss mountain biking. That is precisely why we believe now is the right time to take a step back and evaluate the future with an open mind and a long-term perspective, rather than simply holding on to what already exists,” says Lorenz Luginbühl.

For this reason, no races will be held under the BIKE REVOLUTION banner in 2027. However, this break does not mark the end of the brand. Instead, it is intended to create space for fresh perspectives and a long-term vision for the future of mountain biking.

What remains are five successful years, a strong network and countless shared experiences both on and off the racecourse. These achievements will serve as a foundation for the future. The time gained will be used to develop new ideas and explore how BIKE REVOLUTION can continue to contribute to mountain biking and the wider bike community.
